1. Versuch--Fotos einstellen

Shortly after noon on 23DEC10, I finished hand-appliqueing the Siggi onto the back of a commissioned Christmas Table Quilt; hardly 9 minutes later, the lady who ordered it came to pick it up...and today she brought it back (including a few of her fabric scraps) so that she could give me an idea of what she´d like in her "everyday table quilt" of the same size, which she asked be made next for her. So finally I was able to take a quick photograph, before she rolled it up to take back home:

Between classes on Thursday afternoon, 13JAN11, I ran down to grab the mail and was surprised with a "soft" package from my dear friend Elfriede. I had just made a cup of tea which fit beautifully on top of my new mug rug...thank you so much for the lovely handmade gifts and the tea!

Vorderseite gepatcht:
Pamela walked by, immediately noticed the pretty mug rug, asked if I thought she could manage something like that and would I help her tonight after my last class PLEASE...? So of course I helped Pamela make a mug rug for her best friend Hannes, from about 8p.m. till almost 1a.m. She laid out fabrics in the arrangement she wanted, I cut the pieces as she got to them while she sewed--every stitch she sewed by machine, all on her own! Since my machine is visiting Dr. Pfaff, I "only" have 2 other machines here to use--neither of which belong to me, but to one of my wonderful patchwork class ladies, Shyril. Pamela did a wonderful job using Shyril´s old Pfaff maschine. She also quilted the mug rug all by herself, even sewed on the bias binding--I´m so proud of her! This is her very first quilt, 26x29cm. Here´s the patched top:

and here is the back of the mug rug, which she says Hannes almost likes better than the front:

...und eine schöne Tasse dazu...
added a nice big mug...

...und schließlich kamen Tee und Brownies reichlich dazu!
...and finally lots of brownies and tea joined the ensemble for Hannes´ birthday!

Ganz schöne neue Woche and hugs, Bobbi
That´s all for today, folks. This is the first time I´ve added photos to the blog and I can´t wait to see how it looks. I´ll certainly be able to improve this and that as I learn how to do more with my blogging.
Have a lovely new week and hugs!
